Missouri, like Oklahoma, was singing the praises of the anti-meth bill it’s lawmakers passed, which put cold medication behind the counter. That is, until Missouri, like Oklahoma, started seeing more potent, out-of-country meth turn up, along with all the fun that comes with international drug smugglers, instead of home-grown drug cooks.

The significance of Missouri, of course, is that one of its senators, Jim Talent, is behind the federal version of the cold-medicine-behind-the-counter approach.
