Monday, January 23rd, 2006A new study from North Carolina shows that Hispanics add some $9.2 billion to the Tarheel economy, while costing the state just $61 million in schools, roads, hospitals, and prisons. That’s a pretty massive surplus.
The study is consistent with a study last year released by NBER showing that, contrary to what immigration foes would have you believe, immigration has a net postive effect on the wages of U.S.born laborers.
