Anti-immigrant fervor has finally hit Northern Virginia — or at least the outer suburbs. It’s been heating up over the last several months, spurred largely by wingnut talk show hosts, some of whom live nowhere near Northern Virginia. Until now, the sentiment has been directed primarily at day laborer sites, where conservatives adamantly insist that people who want to earn a living to support their families should have no right to do so, and the people who want to hire them should likewise be prohibited from contracting for an honest day’s work.

But now it looks to be getting ugly. This is one of the most hateful pieces of anti-immigrant legislation to come along in a very long time.

Wonder how pro-family, anti-immigration conservatives feel about a law like this?

Conflicted, I’d guess.
