The Guns of Brixton
Tuesday, December 13th, 2005Y’know, I was going to open my forthcoming paper on no-knock raids with this quote from Winston Churchill:
“One of the most important signs of the existence of a democracy is that when there is a knock at the door at 5 in the morning, one is completely certain that it is the milkman.”
But hell, why quote Churchill when you could quote Strummer and Jones?
