Legal Help?
Friday, October 28th, 2005A longtime Agitator reader is in some financial straits and asked if I would solicit a bit of legal advice on his behalf.
I won’t give the full story, but the Cliff’s Notes version goes something like this: The guy borrowed six grand interest-free from his brother-in-law for some home repair. Months later, the brother-in-law is arrested for embezzling from the bank that employs him. The bank is now coming after said Agitator regular for the home-repair loan. The guy intends to pay the money back, but is worried that the bank will insist on a plan he can’t afford, or will slap outrageous interest, fees, and/or fines on him. He’s wondering what his legal options are.
He’s a longtime reader and former regular commenter. If you want to help, send me an email and I’ll forward it to him.
