I have a piece up at National Review Online calling for Gov. Jeb Bush to pardon Richard Paey. The article also a newish development in the case: It now appears that Florida prison officials reatliated against Paey for telling his story to John Tierney at the New York Times, by moving him to a new facility on the other side of the state (three hours further away from his family), and by refusing to refill his morphine pump. The article also went ought on the Knight-Ridder wire, and was picked up by the Charlotte Observer.
I also have an overview article on the obesity issue in the latest issue of The Freeman. It’s not availabe online, but could be up on the Cato site in a week or so.
