Email from my inbox this morning (I took out identifying details until this doctor decides if he wants to take his case public):

I am an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon practicing in ______ for 15 years. I am Board Certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental Anesthesia, as well as Vice President of the ______ Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. I am the victum of a DEA investigation. I have spent 25,000 in legal fees. It’s hard to believe that I live in the USA. This investigation is what it must have been like in the USSR or Nazi Germany. To have an agent come to my office, help himself to patients charts, conduct harassing interviews with my staff, and threaten to have my DEA license revoked was hard to comprehend.
