Not a War on Doctors

Last February, I told you about a letter 30 state attorneys general send to the DEA about the agency’s ruthless anti-painkiller campaign. As it turns out, the National Association of Attorneys General also sent a second, more thorough follow-up letter at the end of March. It’s much more direct. In fact, it’s really a remarkable document. It’s rare to see elected officials so eloquently and forcefully stand up to the DEA. Unfortunately, the Adobe text select tool doesn’t work on this particular PDF, so I can’t give you excerpts. But if you’re interested in this issue, I’d urge you to check it out. If your state AG wasn’t among the signatories, you might drop him a letter or phone call.
