For the record, Patti Griffin is delightful folk-country in the Lucinda Wiliams vein.

And Hank Williams III’s Lovesick, Broke, & Driftin’ is a modern twist on good ol’ fashioned outlaw country. There’s much more of his grandad in him than his dad. And that’s a good thing. The first track is killer. As is “Mississippi Mud.” I should have owned this when it came out three years ago.
