Retraction
Thursday, March 24th, 2005The memo ABC reported was being circulated by the GOP which gave talking points on how to capitalize on the the Schiavo case was a fraud.
Given that I linked to it, it’s appropriate that I retract it.
One readers says the mere fact that I linked to such a questionable memo betrays my bias against Republicans. Maybe. Frankly, I don’t have much respect for either party. And I’d have been just as ready to believe any report of an equally tasteless memo being circulated by the Democrats. But it’s true that my dislike for the GOP probably exceeds my dislike for the Democrats right now. But that’s because the Republicans hold all the power. It’s hard to have too much animus for a party that can’t get any of its agenda passed.
Given that Tom DeLay is on tape asserting that Terry Schiavo was sent by God to abolve conservatives, however, I don’t think I was out of line for taking the ABC News report at face value.
