And here I thought the column was fairly tepid. This guy writes:

Mr. Balko is just the latest in a long line of has-been media clowns to try and put down the blogosphere. He won’t be the last, and he’ll be just as wrong as the rest of them. I’d say I’m surprised that a member of Fox News would be just another ignorant asshole, but I’m not.

Because they’re part of the Has-Been Media themselves.

There are lots more. The BaneRants guy who screeched against me yesterday was also taken to task in his comments section. He updated the post with an attempt at humor that admitted he may have been wrong, but that, um, I also might be gay.

Because I have a dog.

I always thought the sterotypical pet for gay men was cats.

The leftist blogs, on the other hand, seem enthralled with the notion of a right-wing crusader like me defending a gay prostitute like Gannon. See the “Republicans Love Gay Male Hookers” post from RadicalRuss, for example..

Well, here:

I’m not a righ-wing crusader. I think prostitution should be legal. What you do on your own time with your own money with another consenting adult isn’t any of my business. And it’s certainly no business of the government’s. And I don’t much care who y’all want to sleep with.

Oh, and I dig women.

Funny how the open-minded, unjudgmental left is so quick to jump to conclusions, and all over an issue involving the outing of a gay man!

I find this all pretty amusing. Write a column that’s mildly critical of how blogs tend to overreact and take themselves too seriously, and watch the backlash from blogs overreacting and taking themselves too seriously. I rest my case!

Get a grip, gang.
