Me on TV

Monday, February 14th, 2005

I taped an interview on MSNBC this evening. Bill Press, Wonkette, Hugh Hewitt and I discussed Eason Jordan, blogs, and the traditional media on Scarborough Country.

I only got one bit in.

I was actually booked as the anti-blog guy. You can tell by the way Scarborough frames the question he throws at me that they wanted a little more confrontation out of me.

My take is more that (a) given that most high-trafficked bloggers also write for the media and the most media outlets also publish blogs, the supposed great divide between blog and traditional media isn’t all that wide, and (b) blogs are guilty of all the same biases, double-standards and feeding frenzies they criticize the traditonal media for.

I actually had a lot more on my list of stuff to say, but the format wouldn’t allow for it.

It airs at 10 ET, or in about a half hour.
