Oh, Sharing

Greetings from San Francisco.

Yesterday, we went down to Fisherman’s Wharf, ate clam chowder in a sourdough breadbowl, and checked out the Pier 39 sea lions, which I could have done for hours. Dozens of the roly-poly guys, all stacked on top of each other, sunning on a few docks laid out in the bay — barking, fighting, playing, dining, sleeping. Once a year they swim south where it’s warmer, have sex, then swim back and sleep some more. Nice life. Pictures to come. Other tentative plans: The Cartoon Art Museum, the Museum of Modern Art, biking across the Golden Gate Bridge, day trip to Sonoma.

In the meantime, check out the local legend gem I found via the Chronicle’s entertainment guide this week: Steve Perry fan fiction!
