MP is right. Dissect the statement, and you see that he said:

1) Overall, we "at least made a passing grade"

2) Barely passing doesn't mean success.

and 3) Although we made an overall passing grade, we failed in the area of "getting it done at crucial times".

Now, all of that is logically consistent and is not contradictory. Yes, they passed the whole shabang, but failed in a particular area. Remember gym class? Well, maybe you failed the volleyball section of class, but passed the class as a whole. Is this possible? Yes. Just like it is possible for the redskins oline to make a barely passing grade overall, yet still be a failure when it comes to the clutch.

Where I went to school, a D- was a passing grade but wasn't considered a mark of success. I think you are being unnecessarily critical of Ray.

The "discussion boards" have been down for a few days (and never really have seemed to catch on), so I'll point out here that Radley's "Good News" column has been Farked.

Yes, the Redskins offense sucked this year. But, you have to have a little faith in Joe Gibbs. Every time he starts something, he does horribly at first, then figures it all out. Remember his first coaching career, his NASCAR start? It will be better next year and maybe even great.
