Ain’t capitalism grand?

I should note here, that I’ve been sent articles suggesting that Artest went after the wrong guy. That’s trouble. Not only does it undermine his already-hopeless PR case, it further subjects him to criminal charges.

I also read in at least one place that Jermaine O’Neal slugged a cop off-camera. Ouch. That’s jail time.

Could be a long season.

UPDATE: Bill Simmons take is really good. Insightful, well-argued (though I obviously disagree with him on a few items), and full of insider stuff I hadn’t heard before.
