   I was really hoping that Bush would have approval numbers down in the 30s in early summer, so that the grown ups could have had an excuse to ditch him and give us someone to vote for rather than against.

   Frankly, I look at this election as being given a choice between a good case of syphillus or taking on full blown AIDS.

   I was opposed to bush but not for kerry until I decided to do a little more research into Kerry. No I am equally for Kerry. In reality his voting record is middle of the road, he gets high “liberal” marks for only 2 issues, abortion and the environment. Being one of the most consistently pro-environmental senators is certainly worth my vote. I do believe one of the most important legitimite functions of government is protection of the “commons”. His voting on defense spending is middle of the road, conservative on weapons and liberal on pay and benefits. The most convincing thing was listening to his 71 senate testimony. This was an articulate, passionate man and an amazing performance for 27. Can you image bush accomplishing anything significant in ’71? Anyone with an open mind should listen to the audio:

   A plea to all parties, can we have two real leaders to decide between, please, sometime, hopefully soon? One man is a child with no convictions and no leadership ability that I can find. The other has convictions and at least some leadership skill, but has no idea what to do with them, and worse, can’t stop shooting himself in the foot every time he opens his mouth.
