I never knew that about asparagus. Here in Germany we have Spargel, which is Asparagus that is continuously covered in dirt as it is grown. It keeps the asparagus white as it grows to full-size. Although it is much better tasting than normal asparagus, I think I’ll stay away from it anyway.

If the 12oz. double chocolate shake has 69g of carbs…shouldn’t the 20oz only have (let’s see here..) 116g rather than 160? I know it’s still a lot, but it seems like there’s something wrong here.

I was always tempted to go into Krispy Kreme and order 2 donuts and a cup of glaze. I never did, but I did call their customer response line once and complain that one of their stores refused my order of said beverage. Alas, the tired woman on the other phone didn’t realize the absurdity of the request and defeated the entire purpose of the call.

Since obesity is an illness now, I hope Krispy Kreme is hiring some of the Tobacco company’s lobbyists.

Either that, or provide a gastric bypass surgery contest promotion for their customers.
