Wednesday, April 28th, 2004Assuming my Pacers make it to the NBA Finals, I’d really had no preference as to who we’d play. Given that we’ve been disparaged all year as the best team in what amounts to a minor league conference, it would have been easy to get up for any team out of the west.
Well, now I want the Spurs.
Watch what you wish for.
If that matchup comes, you better hope Artest’s head is in the game, not in a 1-1 showing against Bowen.
I think it was low class to demean Artest, regardless of what kind of player he is. He could have just said to the media the positive things he thinks about Bowen.
Oh yeah, let’s not forget about the Eastern conference finals here either. Indy has the best record, but they still have to get through NJ or Det, both which present tough matchups IMO.
Either K-Mart or either of the Wallaces will be tough for J O’Neal, they will be in his face on both ends of the floor, and 4th quarter disappearing acts won’t do anymore.
The back court is also something to watch out for as well. Billups/Hamilton are a powerful combo, up against Tinsley/Miller? And we all know about Mr. Kidd over in NJ, this isn’t a lock quite yet…
I retract my earlier comment that the Celts would take two. I now predict they will win less than two. What’s that? They’re out already? I didn’t even know the series started. Oh… damn.

Little shout from the Twin Cities, you won’t get your wish. However, I don’t know what the hell Pop is talking about. First of all, he guards the best G or SM on the floor, not the best player. He never guarded KG one time on the floor all year.
