Maybe you didn’t catch it, but Radley lives in DC… he’d have to leave the city to find a safer place to have lunch!! haha

I’d recommend the Clarendon metro stop. There is a great vietnamese resturaunt there called Cafe Saigon. The curry chicken with coconut milk is amazing.

Or Roslyn to Pho 79. Best Pho I’ve ever had. Could eat there for breakfast lunch and dinner.

Oh, and no watching the bad guy get caught and stopped from committing further criminal acts is indeed cool.

I used to love to eat roasted garlic with brie cheese…until a female employee of mine told me that brie tastes like “man-juice.” Haven’t touched the stuff since.

As a guy who drove armored cars in Detroit for a spell, I can say that when you are in the s*it, it aint too cool, but if you walk away from it, you realize the adrenaline rush and edge you get from it. I can totally dig adrenaline junkies that do wild stuff like jumping out of a chopper and skiing down a mountain.

The criminal had a pump-action shotgun and was stopped because a private security guard was carrying a handgun and knew how to use it. This is the same WashPost, mind you, that has spent the last two weeks hand-wringing about the evils of handguns. Will the guard get a mention on the editorial page for his heroism? Don’t bet on it.

I was not there but I doubt the police shot the guy in front of that many witnesses without probable cause. The police are not always the bad guys, contrary to what a lot of people seem to think.

Hrm… My assumption would be that it was an armed robbery. I believe everyone should be allowed to own whatever guns they want to own, but my own personal belief is that if you use a gun in the commission of a crime (i.e. threaten someone with it) then you should accept that if anyone gets a bead on you, you will be shot dead on the spot. It’s a simple personal choice.
