Made my day. There is justice in the world.
â??[G]overnment may not compel individuals to support an advertising program for the sole purpose of increasing demand for [a] product.â?
Ah, what a heady (and completely arbitrary) victory for the principles of liberty.
Rest assured that sentence will not be applied to taxpayers.
yep, just checked… John T. Kennedy STILL has to pay taxes!!! All other problems our nation faces pale in comparison until this injustice is eradicated from the world.
Indeed, on the day JTK (and myself, and you) can refuse to pay taxes and not be jailed, much will have been accomplished.
May that day come soon.
Joe Sims, your comments rule. Keep it up.
That is utterly fantastic!
(Sorry, too embarassed to put my name on this one.)
But alas, the court came down on the wrong side of the Locke v. Davey case. http://supct.law.cornell.edu/supct/pdf/02-1315P.ZO
When I saw the post I wanted to comment “And in other news, J.T. Kennedy still has to pay his taxes.” But damn – beat to it.
Not often enough is it that we get good news.
