Fun With Economists
Tuesday, February 17th, 2004I can’t decide if this is amusing, or so creepy it’s frightening.
UPDATE: Here’s another one. And it’s even scarier.

Stop making me laugh Balko! This stuff is hilarious!
i concur with ms. dani, thanks for the morning chuckle! michelle
Thank you. This blog has been a tad too serious lately (not that being serious is bad, but we haven’t had a monkey butler battle discussion in quite a while)…
Oh my goodness! That’s hilarious!
Joe-
There is nothing funny about Monkey Butler battles. It’s a very serious issue often with life and death consequences.
Now if you want to talk about coconut satellite dishes made by monkey butlers…well that offers a little levity.
Well, after seeing this today, I really didn’t think I’d find any better procrastination fun and entertainment for the day.
Clearly, I was wrong. Thanks, Radley!
I guess it takes a little more to get me amused. I don’t mind funny humor but stupid anti-Bush jokes are not funny if they do not have at least a little intelligence to them.
I pretty much dismiss any any sort of humor that needs to base itself on lies. Thus when I see Bush tied in with Enron I’m gone.
It takes a mental midget to think that because Enron happened on Bush’s watch he should be tied to it. Was Enron a totally clean company until Jan 20th 2001? The entire scandal happened during Clinton’s watch but it was uncovered during Bush’s. So whose fault is it? These are the same people who blame Bush for the recession, which started half a year before he took office.
I’m not saying Bush is great, nor do I support a lot of things he does, but the point is that this humor is all based on intellectual dishonesty, which is not funny in my book.
There are a lot of funny things you can say about this presidency, at least be creative about it.
That’s cool!
Peter, Peter, party pooper!
Kidding, man. Really, I frowned at the Enron gif and the nose-follows-the-dollar bit. I do like to fiddle with my touchpad, though.
uh oh – That could be taken a couple of ways, couldn’t it?
Uhhh let’s just say I appreciated the temporary distraction from my laminar flow calculations. Yeah, can’t get double meanings from that one.
