Speaking of Lloyd Grove…

Saturday, January 24th, 2004

this Moby-Drudge-Cho thing is hilarious. Unfunny comedienne Margaret Cho basically said at a MoveOn event that President Bush aspires to be Hitler, but is jut too damned lazy. “George Bush is not Hitler. He would be, if he fucking applied himself,” she said.

She later wrote on her website that she “beat the shit out of Dumya, I mean Dubya.”

Drudge ran with the story, which was then picked up on right-wing site Free Republic. That garnered Cho some hate mail from the Freepers. So Cho, who just called the president a lackluster Hitler, then whined about email she got which called her bad names. And she enlisted the chivalrous Moby to join her cause. The two are now waging a PR war against Drudge.

Drudge’s advice to Cho and Moby:

“Butch up.”

I’m not big on Drudge, but it sounds like a fair cop.

I side with Drudge on this one, but he runs fake stories and misquotes all the time. I have called him on a it a few times, and within minutes the stories vanish.

Well you know, the formula for good comedy is truth + pain.

    Cho’s anti-Bush bit lacks truth.

Though Drudge hits the nail on the head.

I had several friends who went to one of her shows recently and didn’t have too many good things to say about it. They were filming the show for HBO or some other network. He said the routine wasn’t too bad, basically a bunch of left-wing ultra-liberal sludge. The best part wasn’t until after the tapes stopped rolling. They did a little Q&A session where audience members had the chance to as Ms. Cho some questions. Her response to almost every question: “I don’t know, I smoke[d] alot of pot”. It’s funny that she can point a scripted finger but when there is no script, she has no point….

For someone who (or is it whom?) claims to only be interested in the facts, you seem to be supported a lot of personal attacks. While I don’t agree with a lot of what GW as done, I hardly think that comparing him to Hitler falls into the realm of rational debate. The power of the radical left, thru the media, far exceeds the power of the radical right–their media has far more coverage, and as libertarians I would think you would be far more worried about them.–Public houseing everywhere except of course near their 20,000 sq ft. homes on the beach–and of course don’t allow public access to the beaches in front of their homes–there are plenty of 100,000 to 500,000 dollar homes for the “public to invade” I really find it hard to take seriously anything someone who spends their live pretending to be someone else.

Bob, I think Radley agrees with your take on this; you seem to have misread.

Right. Just like every other “legitimate” news source, Drudge makes mistakes…just alot fewer. I’m sure he waits expectantly every day for your take on what’s fake and misquoted.

I love how the left dishes vitreol out all the time, but can never take it. The crap they spew about GWB every single day would make a young mother cringe from just hearing it, but as soon as a conservative opens their mouth they are deemed “mean spirited” and hateful. Well I say to the left – take a look in the freaking mirror.

Oh wait, I forgot. The Lefts image doesnt appear in any mirror. :-)

    I believe that a true
socialist prefers to package their agenda in a nice soft touchy-feely type of package that is designed to pull at the heart strings of the average citizen and its for this reason that I believe that Socialists such as Margaret Cho and Michael Moore are as much despised by this group as they are by conservatives. The true Socialist dosen`t want this constant public backlash, its just not their style.

I think EMINEM disposes of Moby rather nicely see “Without me” on the EMINEM SHOW CD. Who’s CHO?
