Lost in Translation

Japander is a website that tracks U.S. celebrities who make cheesy commercials in Japan under the stipulation that they never be aired in the U.S.

My personal favorites: An early ad featuring Mike Tyson pitching Tyson trucks, and a series of ads featuring the Simpsons promoting an awful-looking soft drink called “C.C. Lemon.”

I’m still a little confused about what claim C.C. Lemon is trying to make in the ad where Homer and Bart are nude.

    The plot of the film “Lost In Translation” concerns an American actor (played by Bill Murray) who goes to Japan to do a liquor commercial. It’s a very good and funny film.
