I, for one, found the “malt beverage” marketing scheme used by the “hard liquor” companies to be sheer brilliance.

Since we can’t advertise Stoli on national TV, we’ll create something we CAN advertise on TV, call it Stoli, and BAM, you have a product that advertises what we are really trying to advertise…and the possible side effect is a successful side business in the malt beverage niche.

I bet those ads left the network censors scratching their heads…
