    Myanmar? Way cool; hope Kerry doesn’t run into too much trouble there.

    as a run-up to your leaving, I will be listening to Mission of Burma’s “Signals, Calls and Marches” in your honor…

    Ah, Rangoon, Burma. (My very British former father-in-law once taught me never to bother learning all the new names third world countries adopt for themselves. (“it will always be Rhodesia to me”) Which should have made obvious that that marriage would never last. I always keep up to date what the Congo is calling itself.

    I assume that the authorities would frown on Blogging? I mean, they are so renown for their liberal and progressive ways!

    I wish her the best of luck, but I’m not sure I would congratulate someone for getting a job in Burma. I mean, Burma???
