Eric McErlain sends this NY Times article about TheAgitator.com favorites The Fountains of Wayne.

I’m still perplexed as to why this band isn’t all over the radio.

Damned ClearChannel! It’s Michael Powell’s fault.

Tasty tidbit: The band is named after an upscale yard and garden shop in New Jersey that’s been frequently featured in The Sopranos. Only, the band existed before the show.

    you laugh, but there was a band of pink clad women on 18th and columbia last night handing out flyers saying that very thing… that the lack of diversity on the radio has something to do with Mike Powell and that deregulation would insure crap radio forever… clearly none of them have XFM.
