We’ve all been there, haven’t we?

Heartache is pretty much the one thing that can stop me dead in my tracks. I was once laid off by a dot-com. I was in and out of the hospital for an emergency appendectomy last summer in less than 24 hours. I’m generally about as laid-back as a guy can be, short of comatose.

But getting dumped? The few times it’s happened, I remember being basicaly useless for days. Worst, most restless, most helpless feeling ever.

I think this fellow is fighting that battle right now. I found his site via Technorati because of a link he threw my way.

Note how the…um…tone of the blog changes between July 12 and July 14th. I’m just guessing here, but it seems to me that something decidedly not right happened on July 13.

Hang in there, buddy.

In the meantime, somebody get this guy to a strip club.

    wow. yeah i got dumped on once or twice. i recall being worthless for about four months. i think i just went to the bar every night after work and got blasted. alcohol is a really great way to drown your sorrows, i was surprised actually. its a little self indulgent, but i’ll admit it was fun. being dumped sucks.

    No doubt I’ve felt this guys pain. At least he has a blog where he can dump all of his anger. Its theraputic, I think.

    While I feel for the guy (I also hate bitches), I haven’t laughed like that in a long time. Hope he feels better, but I also hope he continues to embark on this line of ranting.

    some of the best times of my life were right after being dumped. It is the combination of an actual and perceived decrease in responsibility that makes for a good time. Nothing take the wind out of a good time then having to worry about the repercussions of your actions.

    this guy is sad little mysogynist pig. with a tiny penis i’m sure. you all should ashamed for praising him. turns out the scared little bastards who call women “bitches” are always the ones who couldn’t get laid by a $20 hooker. this is definitely not ok. men like that get their asses kicked if they’re ever a man enough to say that crap in public. at least they should.

    There are plenty of self-sufficient women out there, but most of us DON’T put up w. whiny assholes like that. Not even for the sex that he is so sure we are looking for everywhere. HELLOOOOOO better to have a vibrator & do it yourself than waste time w. a chauvinistic jerk. If you are sick of “bitches,” why don’t you try:
    1. finding a woman who has respect for herself & you.
    2. prefers an intellectual program over Oprah (yes! we are out here!)
    3. quit cruising for chicks in bars. What the hell do you expect when you do that? I know what I expect, & I sure don’t want him calling me the next day.
    OOH! no! I’m a slut! right.

    I tend to look at his comments not so much from the perspective of a guy who hates women, but a guy who was treated like shit by someone.

    If you replace all the bitches and whores with dicks and pricks and it’s pretty much the same scenario for everyone.

    It’s better that he gets it out of his system now. There’s nothing worse than dating a guy who’s been hurt terribly by a prior girlfriend and who never dealt with it. They’re the ones who are most likely to take it out on you just to get back at the bitch. Advice to him: find a woman who makes her own money so that you don’t have to worry that she’s gold-digging.
