My sister Rea returned home from the Peace Corps last week and my other sister Ellen and I got a chance to see her for the first time in quite awhile. After two years in Kazakhstan (a lovely place by all accounts), her pop culture savvy is not quite what it should be. I told her that a mutual acquaintance of ours had wanted to get in touch with me, so he googled me and found my blog. She interpreted this as something dirty and looked shocked that I would tell such a story in the company of my mother, aunt, and uncle.
