Happy Beers Day!
Monday, April 7th, 2003
On this date in 1933, beer-makers nationwide fired up their breweries again for the first time in 13 years. Today marks the 70th anniversary of the beginning of the end of Prohibition (the 21st Amendment was officially ratified on December 5).
So be sure to celebrate your freedom with an after-work beer this evening.
Then offer an optimistic, two-pronged toast that:
a) alcohol prohibition never returns,
and,
TheAgitator.com

I’ll certainly drink to both of those hopes. Amen.
Funny you should mention that, I know of more than a few breweries that never, uh, stopped to begin with….
my buddies and i from the roch are all getting ready for our cuse to win the championship, and how did we spend the 30 minutes leading up to the tip…..reading your blog…only to find out that today is the 70th anniversary of the end of prohibition. how great would that be if the orange win it all on this day. and dont you dare mention 1987 or keith smart. you’ll lose about 20 loyal readers if so. now you have to root for the cuse!
