I'm sure what they meant is that the rates for the normal lawyerly duties are in the $100 to $200 per hour range. Assfisting duties are usually in the upper $300's. Flat-out sodomy by an attorney is usually billed in the high $500's (though I've seen them bill that as "representation" to give a price break). Actually, that usually breaks down into categories "voluntary sodomy", "pro bono" ha, ha, and "quid pro quo, Mr. Balko, quid pro qho." Dumb looks are still free!
