Part of the credit has to go the cars themselves. 20 years ago cars were real crap, there were no anti-lock brakes or air bags. Seat belts were those things you tied stuff onto the roof with. I swear I had a rear view mirror that doubled as a lawn mower blade. Sigh, I remember the days of the highly polished, steel reinforced, sharp and pointy dash boards.
Hell for all I know there are as many drunks on the road as there were back then. What’s changed is these days accident victims go to the hospital rather than being hosed out through the drain plug on the floor.
Nice job. It’s a great sign of foresight to be ahead of the curve…I’m usually in the middle of the curve…on bald tires…and ice…and I didn’t put my seatbelt on…in my 65 Impala…with pointy metal dashboard…oh well, at least there is a drain plug for them to hose me out.
PS to Jim M, This is a great line… “What’s changed is these days accident victims go to the hospital rather than being hosed out through the drain plug on the floor.”
Sound like Yoda, you do…
