I’m livid. I have no water. A chain reaction of stupid moves by Arlington’s (un)civil servants has led to dry faucets at the ol’ homestead. Now, they tell me, they can’t figure out how to get our water turned back on. They say the plumbing in my house is faulty, that it’s my problem, that I’ll have to get it fixed. I find this odd. Because the plumbing was fine before Arlington’s fascist, hubristic, knee-jerk bureaucrats decided to shut my water off. They told me to call a plumber.

That made me kick the dog.

Not really.

But I wanted to.

I had to shower at the gym this morning. You wanna’ know what kind of people shower at a health club at 7:00am in the morning?

Old men. No. Worse. Old men who happen to be a little too comfortable with their own nudity. Four of them were actually playing cards this morning on a bench in the middle of the lockers. I’m not making this up. Four naked old men. Playing cards. That was my morning. Showering, brushing my teeth, trying like hell to avoid accidentally brushing up against dangling old man parts. All because my city government is incompetent.

I’m angry. Letters will be written. Tongue lashings will be administered. I’ve seen my last seventy-eight year old penis. At least until my 78th birthday.
