I think this is wonderful. From today’s USA Today:

‘SmackDown!’ goes to mat for gay unions

In another hint of the growing acceptance of same-sex unions, World Wrestling Entertainment’s SmackDown! plans a wedding for bad guys Billy and Chuck on Thursday’s season premiere at 8 p.m. ET/PT on UPN. Spokesman Jayson Bernstein says fans dictate the show’s content, and the Billy-Chuck relationship has been popular. “They get booed because they’re bad guys, not because of their sexual orientation.”

    Umm, isn’t “Smackdown” run by the same WWF that exploited the rampant homophobia of its audience via the absurd caricature of the “GoldDust” character?

    No, people booo them because they are bad gay guys, not just because thier bad. Thier are plenty of anti-heroes in the WWF who are bad and get cheered. Don’t kid yourselves.

    Maybe they should set them up againt Eminem in a storyline the people would finally cheer eminem for being a homophob
