Indy Music

So what good is having a website with a decent readership if you can’t plug your buddy’s band?

A college friend of mine is in a band that’s just released a third CD. They’ve gotten some acclaim in the last couple of years — but unfortnately much of it came from indy music websites that tanked in the dot-com bust.

They’re called “Turnerjoy,” after the ship that allegedly cast the first and last American shots of the Vietnam War.

If you dig the space-rock/shoegaze genre, as I do, they’re pretty damned good. Check out/buy CDs from their website here. Listen to MP3 clips of their stuff here.
