Uber-friend Mollie Ziegler chased down this little gem: the 1996 marriage license for The White Stripes’ Meg and Jack White. All the “brother/sister” talk is, then, mere rock n’ roll posturing. It’s also patently obvious to anyone who’s seen them live that these two are anything but siblings. The sexual energy between them is jarring.

The site the license is on has me intrigued, too. It’s called Glorious Noise. Haven’t heard of it until now, but any music site boasting interviews with the Dirtbombs, Cafilone and the Velvet Crush certainly has my attention. Bookmarked.
